About

Boldly inventive Australian composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Dan Webb is a psychedelic fusionist, blending jazz, rock and electronic music into kaleidoscopic, boundary-pushing journeys.

After emerging on the live circuit in 2008 and releasing his debut EP in 2009, Webb quickly carved out a reputation as a forward-looking creator. His first two EPs introduced a progressive, keyboard-driven rock aesthetic that laid the foundation for his genre-defying path.

Sandstorm (2014) expanded his palette with Beatles-inspired pop, rock and funk, hailed by X-Press Magazine as “a thrilling, funky journey” and supported on BBC Radio 6 Music, Triple J and Double J. He followed with the experimental post-punk EP Sailing (2015), praised by Radio Adelaide as “the work of a genius.”

Oedipus the King (2017) marked a decisive leap into more adventurous terrain, fusing jazz, psychedelic rock, folk and electronic textures into a politically charged album that drew comparisons to Berlin-era Bowie and Miles Davis’ electric period.

In 2019, Webb released Exotic Erotic Concoction, a fully instrumental electro-jazz fusion album that wove trip hop and synthwave into daring, immersive soundscapes, pushing his psychedelic fusion into bold new dimensions.

His 2023 release, Sunshine/Dialogue, was met with universal critical acclaim, praised by Earmilk as “a remarkable sonic journey,” and earning a nomination for Self-Producing Artist of the Year at the 2024 Music Producer & Engineers’ Guild of Australia Awards.

Now entering his most ambitious era – marked by high-calibre collaborations and bold new directions – Webb continues to refine a sound that follows no trends and answers only to curiosity.

Not for everyone. For the ones who get it.
